Fix Printer in Spokane

Often times printers will stop working when working in Spokane. There are many reasons why this could occur, but the most easily-fixable of these reasons is when there is a MSGW (Message Waiting). This can occur if you switch to printing a different form, or when you open up the printer to put in new labels. Below are the instructions to fix the printer when there is a MSGW.

  1. While signed into Spokane, at any screen, press Esc. You will be taken to the menu below. Enter 1 and press Enter to “Work With Printer Output”.
  2. The next menu will show you all of the queued print jobs that have not printed yet. You may not see any jobs here. Press Shift + F10 to View Printers.
  3. On the next screen, you are given a list of all printers. Use Pg dn and Pg up to find your printer. You will most likely see a MSGW to the right of the printer name. If you do not know your printer name, you should be able to figure it out because your username will be shown under the “User” column.
  4. Enter 7 on the line to the left of the printer name, and press Enter. On the next screen, you will see a screen that looks like the screenshot below.
  5. Enter G on the line and press enter twice. You will be taken back to the list of printers and your print jobs should now print. If not, or if the previous steps provide different results, more troubleshooting may be necessary. Please contact us at support@digicompnetworks.com and we can help you right away.
